There is great outdoors recreation at Mt. Tom State Park, so you could enjoy yourself while here. Mt. Tom State Park is a common site to spend time for the people of Bantam. There's so much to do here at Mt. Tom State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Looking Glass Hill Campgrounds is a tremendous site for that, and not far from Mt. Tom State Park you'll find Shepaug Reservoir which is a pretty lake.
Mt. Tom State Park is a great site for a visit when you have to get out of the house. Mt. Tom State Park is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Waramaug State Park is a magnificent local campground, and during your stay here do stop at nearby Morris Town Beach. Take a little visit to Bantam River if you're here at Mt. Tom State Park; a charming lake like Milton Pond is a good spot to explore.
If you need a location to stay Tollgate Hill Inn is a perfect choice, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Mattatuck Trail. Camping is available at Valley In The Pines Campground, and there are some nice whitewater spots on East Aspetuck River. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Stonybrook Golf Course. Lakes? Sure, Goose Pond is close by.
Mt. Tom State Park regularly gets lots of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A great site to camp here at Mt. Tom State Park is Hemlock Hill Camp Resort and Co-operative; here at Mt. Tom State Park you can see Looking Glass Hill.
