Hurd State Park, Connecticut

A tremendous place for whitewater paddling close to Hurd State Park is Roaring Brook River, and Hurd State Park is good enough to spend more than a day at, Little City Campground is a good local campground.
At Hurd State Park you can observe Scovill Rock. Lakes are great; Bevins Pond is a lake that's near Hurd State Park. Any time is a great time at Hurd State Park if you go for the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Inn At Middletown is a nice place to spend a night or two; you're most likely interested in lakes, Supples Pond is one of those nearby. Fun things to do are plentiful; there's always something to suit everybody.
If you came to camp Markham Meadows Campgrounds is a nice site to do that, and you can run the rapids of Salmon River. It's a popular place to get away to for the inhabitants of East Hampton.
