During the warm days of summer at Burr Pond State Park temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Days Inn - Torrington is a splendid location to get some rest, and as expected, this is a good area for folks who like lakes, Rugg Brook Reservoir is a lake close at hand. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Camping at Macedonia Brook State Park is always a glorious experience, and get drenched paddling on Farmington River - Riverton. If you came to camp Burr Pond State Park is a great spot to do that, and do schedule some time to stop by Wheeler Point if you have a chance. Paugnut State Forest is a splendid local forest, and taking a little visit to nearby Third Bay is a nice idea. Burr Pond State Park is a good site for a visit when you need to spend some time in the wilderness. It's a popular place to go to for folks from Winsted. You could also pop by Besse Park Pond while you're here at Burr Pond State Park; it's close by; let's not forget Sucker Brook which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. This place is so good, just look at all the cool stuff to do close to Burr Pond State Park. There's so much to do here at Burr Pond State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Crest Campground is a great spot for that, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Winchester Lake is just a very short distance away. Burr Pond State Park is a good wilderness vicinity that everybody enjoys. There are loads of exciting activities for everyone to like. This river is so perfect. Taylor Brook flows through this area. Whitewater paddling is fine on Sandy Brook River; a lake close by is Highland Lake.
