Burr Pond State Park is a good site for a spree when you have to spend some time in the fresh air. The high level of
    rainfall makes Burr Pond State Park a relatively wet place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is January. The trees of Paugnut State Forest are a magnificent source of shade on hot summer days, and if
you're looking for some flowing water? Try Taylor Brook. Some of the water close by flows, like Sucker Brook, and a visit to nearby Wheeler Point is very relaxing.
Fun activities are abundant; there's always something for everybody to enjoy. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Winchester Lake is one of those nearby, and close by you locate Cameron Point. Burr Pond State Park has picturesque nature scenery for your viewing happiness.
A great spot for whitewater paddling close to Burr Pond State Park is Still River. There's so much to do here at Burr
 
Pond State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Austin Hawes Campground is a magnificent spot for that. If you adore the outdoors, you'll go for Burr Pond State Park. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Farmington River, and Burr Pond State Park is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Macedonia Brook State Park is a good spot to camp nearby. The view of Burr Mountain from Burr Pond State Park is gorgeous, and why not camp at Laurel Crest Campground if you're here at Burr Pond State Park.
This is a fine area for people who like lakes. Rugg Brook Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood; get wet paddling on Farmington River - Riverton. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn - Torrington, and if you've had enough of Burr Pond State Park, Besse Park Pond is close by. You'll meet a lot of people from Winsted here, and you don’t have to go far from Burr Pond State Park to catch a glimpse of the water at Burr Pond Dam.
Burr Pond State Park has a large quantity of natural loveliness; it's a site that everyone likes. It's a popular place to travel to for people arriving from Winsted. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Third Bay is in the vicinity and always splendid to visit.
You can take a little spree to Sucker Brook Dam since you're here at Burr Pond State Park; Burr Pond State Park is a perfect local campground. A lake close by is Burr Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy Brook River. So many cool things to do here at Burr Pond State Park, too wonderful to be true. If you need a place to stay Yankee Pedlar Inn is a magnificent choice; a delightful vista of wonderful Walnut Mountain is available.
Burr Pond State Park is not the only place close by, Highland Lake is a close by lake; you can stay the night at White Pines Campground. At Burr Pond State Park you find loads of outdoors recreation, so you may have a ball while you're here.
Bristol Cove is reasonably near Burr Pond State Park; a pleasant nearby hotel is Tollgate Hill Inn. Summer at Burr Pond State Park arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while Burr Pond State Park night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
