There's great hiking along the Coyote Ridge Trail, and Butano State Park is not far at all from Loma Mar. Butano State Park gets a typical amount of rain; January is the wettest month with   most rain, and the driest month is July. So much amusing stuff to do here at Butano State Park, too tremendous to be true. A day at Pomponio Beach next to Butano State Park is time well spent. Pescadero Creek Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest; you can stay the night at Wastahi Campground. Good hiking is available along the Butano Ridge Loop Trail, and Old Womans Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. The Summit Trail offers hiking at its best; if you came for an overnight stay Big Basin Tent Cabins is a splendid spot to camp. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 60's at Butano State Park. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Butano State Park temperatures plunge to the 40's. Go for a hike on the Ano Nuevo Trail; if you've had enough of Butano State Park, Big Lagoon is nearby. The prettiness of Butano State Park is there for you to like. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Lagoon is next to Butano State Park, and Blooms Creek Campground is a nice campground here. There is brilliant outdoors recreation at Butano State Park, so you could have plenty of fun. Having a great time in the Santa Cruz Mountains is easy. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pescadero Creek, and you're almost certainly keen on lakes, Bean Hollow Lake is one of those close by. Arroyo De Los Frijoles Beach is a beach close to Butano State Park that you can visit, and why not camp at Costanoa Resort while you're here at Butano State Park.
