There's so much to do here at Butano State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA is a brilliant place for that, and a nice nearby hotel is Costanoa. Butano State Park gets a common amount of rain; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. The beauty of Butano State Park is there for your viewing gratification. Take a hike on the Ano Nuevo Trail, and Butano State Park is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Big Basin Tent Cabins is a nice local campground. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. A visit to Butano State Park wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Butano Falls, and   a stunning lake like Little Lagoon is a great place to have a look at. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Butano State Park. During your tour to Butano State Park you'll meet some folks from Loma Mar for sure, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Butano Ridge Loop Trail. And if that's not enough there's lots more enjoyable stuff to do in the Santa Cruz Mountains. A splendid beach close to Butano State Park is Pomponio Beach, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Sequoia Nature Trail. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Butano State Park. If you're here at Butano State Park, you could stop at Old Womans Creek, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Arroyo De Los Frijoles Beach. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Butano State Park, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 50's while Butano State Park night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 40's. A pleasant place to camp here at Butano State Park is Blooms Creek Campground; the Summit Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Butano State Park is Pescadero Creek, and do take a look at Bean Hollow Lake, it's a picturesque lake. Butano State Park has good outdoors recreation that you could take advantage of. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Butano State Park has to offer, you can camp at Butano State Park; going for a hike along the Coyote Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
