If you need a location to stay Fort Payne-Days Inn is a brilliant choice, and Desoto State Park is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Adams Outdoors is a perfect local campground. A great place to
camp here at Desoto State Park is De Soto State Park; if you have time to spare, Little River Canyon National Preserve is a national park worth visiting. At Desoto State Park you find a lot of outdoors recreation, so you can have fun during your stay. Desoto State Park is a
wonderful spot for a spree when you've got to get out of the house. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Ft. Payne, Al is a nice location to spend a night or two, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wolf Creek.
It's a popular place to go to for people travelling from Valley Head. Take a little tour to Straight Creek since you're here at Desoto State Park, and get your heart beating on the glorious whitewater of Little River. Some nearby water includes Sharp Branch, and there are some
good whitewater spots on Little River. A great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Ft. Payne. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Fort Payne, and why not camp at Knotty Pine Resort if you're here at Desoto State Park. Camp Laney is a perfect local campground; if you come at the right time of year, Little River - East Fork offers some pleasant whitewater.
