The club's Walks Program (published quarterly) lists day walks on most Saturdays and Sundays, some mid week walks and weekend walks on most weekends. Extended walks of between 4 and 14 days are sometimes listed.

Tasmania - Bushwalking
The scenery is so good that bushwalkers ignore mountain ranges that in any other part of Australia would be ranked amongst the best. Most head into the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area (WHA). This is actually four large national parks, South West, Wild Rivers, Cradle Mountain and Walls Of Jerusalem, plus some small reserves and covers 20% of the entire state. There are many other parks and reserves elsewhere in the state that are also worth visiting.
Friends of Heysen Trail
The approximately twelve hundred kilometres long Heysen Trail, is Australia's longest dedicated Walking Trail. The Trail begins (or ends) in the Parachilna Gorge; part of South Australia's world renowned Flinders Ranges. From there the Trail winds its way south, generally following the Mt. Lofty Ranges, the spine of South Australia. Eventually it reaches magnificent coastal scenery abutting the Southern Ocean, and ends at Cape Jervis, on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Heysen Trail 
The Heysen Trail is a 1500 km walking trail that extends from Parachilna Gorge, in the Flinders Ranges, to Cape Jervis, on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The trail passes through the most scenic parts of the state including national parks, state forests and world acclaimed toursist areas such as the Barossa Valley and Wilpena Pound. The trail has been designed to cater for both the serious backpacker and day walker. There are numerous huts, hostels, home and farm stays along the way for those who have no wish to carry heavy backpacks.

South Australian Recreation Trails 
The Office is responsible for the management and maintenance of a range of walking, cycling and horse-riding trails in South Australia. There is the Heysen Trail, a 1500km walking trail that extends from the Flinders Ranges down south to Cape Jervis. There are four walking trails throughout the Mt Lofty Ranges around Gawler and the Barossa, and near Onkaparinga, taking in the Mt Crawford Forest.. The Mt Lofty Walking Trails, traverse through hilly country-side and spectacular forests. The Mawson Trail is 800km in length and extends from the Flinders Ranges to Mt Lofty and provides a route suitable for touring cyclists and mountain bike riders.
