This range is made up of a number of smaller ranges including Sawtooth Range, Smoky Mountains, and Soldier Mountains and they are all great. Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a good ski area in these mountains, where you can spend some time on the slopes. back and watch the water. The Sawtooth Range has a few good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Marsh Creek, Payette River - South Fork, and Salmon River - Middle Fork, being out on a river is a great place to be. This mountain range is so great.
