Talkeetna Mountains, Alaska

     Of all the Talkeetna Mountains peaks, Sovereign Mountain is the tallest at 8849 feet, other high peaks are Mount Wickersham, Mount Monarch, Montana Peak, and Granite Peak. These mountains cover an area of approximately 9700 square miles. The Talkeetna Mountains is located in Alaska
 and it has plenty of outdoors fun. In this mountain range you will never have a bad time. Campgrounds are plentyful in this range where you can pitch a tent or park your RV. This range includes a number of subranges including Horn Mountains, Limestone Hills, and Talkeetna Mountains one more beautiful than the other. These mountains have several good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Archangel Creek, Caribou Creek, Chickaloon River, Coal Creek, Granite Creek, Gravel Creek, Hicks Creek, Kings River, Little Susitna River, Matanuska River where
    you can spend some time on the water. This is such a great mountain range.
