Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina      Mount Mitchell with 6684 feet is the tallest peak in these mountains, other high peaks are Mount Craig, Balsam Cone, Cattail Peak, and Clingmans Peak. The area covered by the Blue Ridge Mountains is about 15400 square miles. The Blue Ridge Mountains is located in North Carolina,   Georgia, and Virginia and has so many things you can do. This range has many nice forests. There are plenty of campgrounds in these mountains where you can pitch a tent or park your RV. There are many hiking trails in this range where you can truly take in all the beauty of these mountains. These mountains have lots of nice lakes and streams where you can catch a fish or two. This range is made up of a number of smaller ranges including Blue Ridge, Brushy Mountains, Copperas Mountain, Cowee Mountains, Elk Mountains, Great Balsam Mountains, Great Craggy     Mountains, Habersham Mountains, Hallback Mountain each one of them has its own charm. This mountain range has so much to offer. These mountains have several good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Back Creek - South River Tributary, Big Creek, Big Hungry Creek, Big Reed Island Creek, Big Wilson Creek, Blood Mountain Creek, Bottom Creek, Broad River where you can spend some time on the water. This range has lots of good hotels where it's always comfortable to stay.
