Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

     This range is located in Tennessee and North Carolina and it has plenty of outdoors fun. The Great Smoky Mountains covers an area of about 4700 square miles. Of all the peaks in these mountains Clingmans Dome is the tallest at 6643 feet, not as high but also impressive are Mount
 Guyot, Mount Le Conte, Mount Buckley, and Cliff Top. There are many beautiful lakes and streams in this range where you can kick back and watch the water. If you're camping there's lots of campgrounds here in this range where you can pitch a tent or park your RV. Hiking trails are all over this range, there's no better way to enjoy these mountains. This range includes a number of subranges including Bald Mountains, Blue Ridge, Buffalo Mountain, Flattop Mountain, Glory Mountain, Great Smoky Mountains, Spring Creek Mountain, Unaka Mountains, Unicoi Mountains
    all of them are beautiful. A mountain range like this is too good to miss. There are plenty of great hotels in the Great Smoky Mountains where you can stay in comfort. The Great Smoky Mountains has a few good ski areas including Cataloochee, Ober Gatlinburg, and Wolf Laurel, where
you can enjoy these mountains in winter. This is such a fun mountain range. This range has several good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Abrams Creek, Bald River, Big Creek, Big Laurel Creek, Brush Creek, Cataloochee Creek, Cheoah River, Citico Creek, Coker Creek, Cold Springs Creek, Deep Creek, a bit of paddling is always fun.
