Gogebic Range, Wisconsin      The area covered by these mountains is about 3500 square miles. The Gogebic Range is located in Wisconsin and Michigan and is loaded with outdoors fun. Mount Whittlesey with 1872 feet is the tallest mountain in this range, other high peaks are Government Peak, Wolf Mountain, Trap   Hills, and Gogebic Range. This mountain range is always fun. The Gogebic Range has several good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Bad River, Baltimore River, Big Iron River, Black River, Brunsweiler River, Carp River, Chippewa River - East Fork, Copper Creek, Little Carp River, Marengo River where you can spend some time on the water. There are plenty of great hotels in these mountains where it's always comfortable to stay. These mountains have a few good ski areas including Big Powderhorn Mountain, Indianhead, and Whitecap Mountain, where     you can spend some time on the slopes. This range has lots of nice lakes and streams where you can catch a fish or two.
