Ouachita Mountains, Oklahoma

     The Ouachita Mountains is located in Oklahoma and Arkansas and has so many things you can do. This range covers an area of approximately 15800 square miles. The tallest peak in the Ouachita Mountains is Magazine Mountain at 2753 feet, not as high but also impressive are Poteau
 Mountain, Black Fork Mountain, Blue Mountain, and Sugar Loaf Mountain. This is such a great mountain range. These mountains have lots of nice lakes and streams where you can catch a fish or two. There are plenty of great hotels in the Ouachita Mountains where it's always comfortable to stay. There are many hiking trails in this range where beautiful scenery awaits you. Campgrounds are plentyful in this range where you can pitch a tent or park your RV. This range is made up of a number of smaller ranges including Boktuklo Mountains, Caddo Mountains, Cedar Mountains,
    Cossatot Mountains, Crystal Mountains, Kiamichi Mountains, Ouachita Mountains, Phillips Mountain, Pine Mountains and they are all great. In this mountain range you will never have a bad time. This range has several good whitewater kayaking and rafting rivers including Baker Creek,
Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary, Big Creek, Big Eagle Creek - Eagle Fork, Blakely Creek - North Fork, Blaylock Creek, Blocker Creek, Bok tu kolo Creek, a bit of paddling is always fun.
