    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Sixteenth Street Reservoir. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. While you're here at Sixteenth Street Reservoir you can take a hike along the White Horse Trail, and after a long day outdoors The Intown Uptown Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Cherry Hill Park, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Western Ridge Trail. Rock Creek is a wonderful  
   whitewater spot near Sixteenth Street Reservoir, and Sixteenth Street Reservoir is a location with many visitors from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria.
If you came for an overnight stay Harmony Place Trailer Park is a brilliant location to camp. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Sixteenth Street Reservoir has it all. Take a side journey to Fenwick Branch, and if you need a place to stay Washington, D.C.-Days Inn Silver Spring, Maryland
 
               is a wonderful choice. A day at gorgeous Bathing Beach right next door to Sixteenth Street Reservoir is a good thing to do, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock Creek.
If you're here, you might as well have a look at Klingle Valley; a lovely lake like First High Reservoir is a delightful location to stop at. During the summertime highs here at Sixteenth Street Reservoir get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Sixteenth Street Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Greenbelt Park is a national park worth visiting; Brightwood Reservoir is a good lake nearby.
Put some time aside to spend at Jumpin' Jack Spring if you're here at Sixteenth Street Reservoir, and you get a good view of Jackson Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Valley Trail; while you're here you can play some golf at Golf Course Register. An average amount of rainfall falls at Sixteenth Street Reservoir; through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month.

I often take my kids to the park at Greenbelt Lake. The playground is very big and they have a ton of fun. There are things there suitable for all kids ages. We also go around the lake, me running and them riding thier bikes. the trail and lake are beautiful and shaded - which is wonderful during the hot days in the summer....

Not recommended: standing under the dam at the end of Lake Needwood--might collapse at any time....
