One of the best things about McMillan Reservoir is its proximity to Bathing Beach, and nearby you hit upon the Rock Creek Park Bike Trail which is a great hiking trail. Stay the night at Harmony Place Trailer Park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock Creek. If you need a location to stay Harrington Hotel is a delightful choice; there are some glorious whitewater       spots on Rock Creek. Going for a hike on the Valley Trail is always a magnificent adventure, obviously you could also check out First High Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Cherry Hill Park is a pleasant campground nearby; don't leave McMillan Reservoir without first paying a visit to Caffreys Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes?
