From Georgetown Reservoir you acquire a wonderful       sight of Mackeys Hill, and going for a hike on the Swamp Trail is always a great adventure. During the months of summer highs here at Georgetown Reservoir get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets                  highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Georgetown Reservoir. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling close to Georgetown Reservoir is Potomac River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Georgetown Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Harmony Place Trailer Park. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rock Creek Park Bike Trail, and close by you come across brilliant spots like The Potomac Gorge. And that's not all you can do here at Georgetown Reservoir. There are other spots here than Georgetown Reservoir, for example Dalecarlia Reservoir, and don't forget to take a brilliant little visit to Donaldson Run. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Georgetown Reservoir has it all. If you need a location to stay Georgetown Suites Harbour is a tremendous choice, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Four Mile Run. There's so much to do here at Georgetown Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Christopher Run Campground is a magnificent spot for that, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Upland Trail.
