What a nice lake Brightwood Reservoir is. From a rainfall point of view Brightwood Reservoir is a reasonably normal place; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The great folks of Washington-Arlington-Alexandria like to hang out close by; nearby
you hit upon the Western Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. The White Horse Trail is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Brightwood Reservoir; The Intown Uptown Inn is a good place to get some rest. Summertime at Brightwood
Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Brightwood Reservoir
drop into the 20's.
All the outdoors entertaining things close to Brightwood Reservoir will keep you coming back many times. If you haven’t been to Greenbelt Park, you should schedule some time for it since you're here, and since
you're here why not stop at Klingle Valley. Jumpin' Jack Spring is a nice local attraction, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rock Creek. If the weather is magnificent
here at Brightwood Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Valley Trail; you can spend the day on the beach at Bathing Beach.
