There are splendid locations to explore along the Glacial Boulder       Trail, and there are other places here than Wrangler Lake, for example Ribbon Lake. Wrangler Lake is pretty arid mostly; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Wrangler Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Madison Campground is a pleasant local campground, and going for a hike on the Ribbon Lake Trail is always a splendid adventure.
