Lake of the Woods is located in the Teton Range. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Teton Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Snake River, and there are brilliant places to explore along the Beula Lake Trail. So many amusing things to do here in the Teton Range, too pleasant to be true. Cascade Acres is always fun to check out.       Stay the night at Cave Falls Campground, and there are plenty of folks from Jackson here. Lake of the Woods gets very little rain; June is when you get the most rain here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more to do near Lake of the Woods. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Lake of the Woods called the Union Falls Trail, and there's whitewater on Bitch Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. During the warm                  days of summer at Lake of the Woods highs are generally in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Lake of the Woods tend to be in the 0's. After a long day outdoors Grand Targhee Ski And Summer Resort is a great spot to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Pitchstone Plateau Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
