If you came to camp Timon Campground is a perfect site to do that, and the summit of The Brakes can be observed from Williams Reservoir. There's nice hiking along the Bear Gulch Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Spearfish Creek. Williams Reservoir is commonly a rather dried out site; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the
   Beaver Ridge Trail.
Looking for something in the neighborhood of Williams Reservoir? Rocky Ford Reservoir is around here, and the The Brakes is one of the things that make Williams Reservoir so splendid. There's so much to do here at Williams Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Lodge Campground is a delightful location for that, and Best Western Inn At Sundance is a fine site to get some rest. Williams Reservoir truly is in the middle

of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Williams Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Montana Lake is a nearby lake, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Sundance Mountain Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
At Williams Reservoir through the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Williams Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. The Table Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best; Williams Dam is a gorgeous place, absolutely worth visiting.
