This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. Having a delightful time in the Bighorn Mountains is trouble-free. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Big Horn Ski, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Tensleep Creek. There are other places here than West Tensleep Lake, for example Bear Lake, and West Tensleep Lake is right by the Cliff Lake Trail.       This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Main Paint Rock Trail is delightful fun, and get wet paddling on Paintrock Creek. This spot is peerless, just explore all the amusing things to do right next door to West Tensleep Lake. Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Lake Helen near West Tensleep Lake, and Bear Park is right here at West Tensleep Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mistymoon Trail. There's so much to do here at West Tensleep                  Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. West Tensleep Lake gets very little rainfall; April is the wettest month with most snow, and February on the other hand is the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Bighorn Mountains has to offer. Middle Tensleep Creek is a good local stream, and if you came to camp Island Park Campground is a wonderful site to do that. For the period of the warm days of summer here at West Tensleep Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's.
