This lake is so wonderful. Alsop Slough is a swamp close to West Carroll Lake, and camping is available at North Fork - Medicine Bow National Forest. At West Carroll Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest of the       months is January. Through the months of summer highs here at West Carroll Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to West Carroll Lake. West Carroll Lake is not the only location nearby, Bamforth Lake is a nearby lake, and skiing at Snowy Range is one of those things you just ought to do. This lake is so wonderful.
