Walters Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Alkali Flats is a tremendous spot; a great site for whitewater paddling is Shell Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Worland is a good place to get some rest. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Walters Reservoir. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Walters Reservoir.

| | streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and the skiing at Big Horn Ski is pleasant. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Adelaide Trail, and Granite Creek Campground is a great local campground. Why not camp at Shell Creek Campground while you're here at Walters Reservoir, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Dry Horse Trail.

the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Walters Dam near Walters Reservoir, and hiking along the Bench Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Paintrock Creek next to Walters Reservoir, and
if you need a location to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a fine choice. At Walters Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
