It's always fun to stop by Lake WGN. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Red Lodge Mountain, and don’t forget to stop by Sawtooth Meadows if you're here at Lake WGN. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Lake WGN has it all. You'll stumble on a scenic lake called Dollar Lake near Lake WGN, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. A beautiful lake like

| | Duck Lake near Lake WGN is a good place to visit, and a glorious nearby hotel is Yodeler Motel. Lake WGN is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. least amount of precipitation. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Going for a hike on the Morrison Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and why not camp at Island Lake Campground since you're
here at Lake WGN. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Lake WGN get into the 70's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, typically in the 30's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 20's,
and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake WGN temperatures fall to the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Near Lake WGN you hit upon the Lewis and Clark Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail.
