This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Pinedale Inn is a delightful site to get some rest; there are some great whitewater spots on Green River. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Shirley Lake is a delightful lake in close proximity to Valaite Lake, and Valaite Lake is right by the Lakeside Trail.       For the duration of the summer months here at Valaite Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Valaite Lake. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. The Narrows Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and do take                  a hike on the Jim Creek Trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is abundant here in the Wind River Range. Stay the night at Whiskey Grove Campground, and the Porcupine Trail offers hiking at its best. From Valaite Lake you acquire a glorious panorama of Big Sheep Mountain, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Lake Gadsby. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a nice choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek. Around Valaite Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
