Upper Medicine Lodge Lake is regularly a pretty dehydrated place; April is the       wettest month with most snow; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains. So much fun stuff to do here in the Bighorn Mountains, too great to be true. Sheep Creek is a brilliant local stream; get yourself into a kayak and hit Paintrock Creek. The Kinky White Trail is a glorious hiking trail next to Upper Medicine Lodge Lake, and Upper Medicine Lodge Lake is great enough to spend more than a                  day at, Upper Paint Rock Lake Campground is a great local campground. During the days of summer here at Upper Medicine Lodge Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 60's with nighttime lows in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Upper Medicine Lodge Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Near Upper Medicine Lodge Lake you find the North High Park Trail which is a nice hiking trail; if you come at the right time of year, Tensleep Creek offers some glorious whitewater. All year is a delightful time in the Bighorn Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at The Passage Resort at Big Horn, and hey, Gotta ski right? Antelope Butte is a pleasant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
