Why not stop by Twin Lakes if you're passing through these parts. Rock Creek is a splendid whitewater spot near Twin Lakes; a lake nearby is Gardner Lake. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. M-K Campground is a nice local campground; Red Lodge Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff. Chan Creek is close to Twin Lakes and is always a delight to explore, and after a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a good location to spend a night or two.

Twin Lakes is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Buena Vista Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby; Christmas Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a magnificent choice, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Beartooth Loop National | |

Recreation Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area next to Twin Lakes has to offer. You can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River close to Twin Lakes, and going for a hike on the Custer
National Forest Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Twin Lakes get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down
to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Twin Lakes. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Lakes is a good spot of normal precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
