This place, the Wind River Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. A lake nearby is Box Lake, and the Granite Highline Trail offers hiking at its best. Grand Teton National Park is reasonably close to Turquoise Lake. There's so much to do here at Turquoise Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Curtis Canyon Campground is a delightful place for that. You'll need more than a
day to look at everything Turquoise Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hoback Campground, and Goodwin Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so wonderful. Jackson Hole is a fine local ski area; why not take
a refreshing hike along the High Line Trail. So many fun things to do in the Wind River Range, not sufficient time. Spring Creek Ranch is a fine place to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Hoback River.

| MORE STUFF NEARBY:
Granite Creek
Actually, the river is in the Gros Ventre range(pronounced Grow Vont). There is probably closer to 8 miles of boating for kayakers, or rafts at higher spring flows. The best section being below the confluence of Little Granite Creek....
Gros Ventre Campground
12 miles away Gros Ventre (pronunced GROW-VONT)Campground in Grand Teton National Park is not to be missed. Moose viewing is spectacular, as well as hearing wolves, coytoes, and the sounds the Bison make walking through the campground. Depending on your campsite, try to be close the the Gros Ventre River for Moose viewing, or try to go towards the town of Kelly, for the most magnificent views of the Teton Range....
Snow King
14 miles away peaceful and laid back. A truly wonderful place to ski....
Astoria Mineral Hot Springs
14 miles away is this the same astoria springs in hoback junction with the pool etc....
Brewster Lake
19 miles away Brewster Lake actually is in the Gros Ventre Range, not the Wind Rivers....
Jenny Lake Campground
19 miles away We love Jenny Lake and want to camp their with our family and friends...4 kids, 4 adults. I am worried about not having reservations....is that a problem?...Jenny Lake Campground was awesome. The view was amazing. It was quite and secluded, the camp store is just a short walk from the camping sites. The lake is beautiful and quiet, no boats zipping around. We stayed at site #50, other sites that I would recommend are 45,46 and 47. These sites have the best view. The best thing was the FLUSH toilets. If you want a vacation away form all of the touristy things you should definitly stay at Jenny Lake. If you get there in the afternoon grab a site. You can always move the next day. It seemed like a lot of people only stayed 1 night....
Jackson Hole
19 miles away What a drop compared to what I'm used to back home on the east coast, just goes on and on. I'll definetily be going back to Jackson Hole this year too, it's great....
