The beauty of Top Lake is reason enough to stop by. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. Hiking along the Morrison Trail is nice fun; since you're here, you could also stop by pretty Dollar Lake. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. From Top Lake you obtain a good view of Sawtooth Mountain, and Yodeler Motel is a nice location to get some rest. A journey

| | to Sawtooth Meadows revives the spirit; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. At Top Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Top Lake is right by the Lewis and Clark Trail, and Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. Top Lake is a good place of normal rain; the month with most
of the rain is June, and October is when it's the driest. Hit the slopes at Red Lodge Mountain in the vicinity, and Top Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Buena Vista Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby.
