If you are in Fremont county it's always a good idea to stop by Tomahawk Lake. Tomahawk Lake is located in the Wind River Range. Tomahawk Lake is pretty arid regularly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Middle Popo Agie River; lots of people from Riverton come here. This lake is so wonderful. Silas Canyon is near Tomahawk Lake and is a great place;

A delightful panorama of wonderful Cony Mountain is available from Tomahawk Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Christina Lake Trail. A fine nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge, obviously you could also explore Lower Silas Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. fine site to check out; Best Western Inn At Lander is a nice place to get some rest. The Sioux Pass Trail is a great hiking trail close to Tomahawk Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Tomahawk
Lake. Tomahawk Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Fiddlers Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Louis Lake Trail. So much exciting
stuff in the Wind River Range, just incredible. Christina Dam has delightful water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Tomahawk Lake; you can stay the night at Popo Agie Campground. Through the summer months at Tomahawk Lake temperatures
are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Tomahawk Lake.
