This lake is so wonderful. Snake River is a splendid whitewater spot near Tillery Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Tillery Lake; Pitchstone Plateau Trail is a great local trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Tillery Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cave Falls Campground; if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bitch Creek. That right there is a load of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Teton Range has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Union Falls Trail, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Lake of the Woods if you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is so wonderful. Cascade Creek is next to Tillery Lake and is always a bliss to pop by, and you'll meet a lot of people from Jackson here.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Union Falls Trail
It's not a hard hike, but it is a long one, take time to swim in the hot springs near bye and take lunch at the fall so you can get back by sun down. It is grizzly area so watch out. A friend of mine spotted two cubs on one of her trips....

Lake Solitude Trail
16 miles away
July 18, 2008 Just got back from a hike to the lake yesterday. Always incredibly beautiful at any time of year (when the trail is open) A lot of flowers blooming earlier than usual because of the copious amount of melt. A bull moose, sow and calf near the trail just past the fork. The last half mile is covered in snow so that can slow you down a little. The lake is still almost completely iced over. Saw two 13'' fish (trout?) in the small, open area of the lake. Marmots snuck around our lunch spot hoping for a hand-out (don't feed anything). One of the most beautiful hikes around. If you think you're a strong hiker but haven't done many hikes or aren't used to the altitude, bring enough water for about a seven hour hike. Stronger hikers can make it in about 5 1/2 hours & seasoned hikers less--but count on a bottle of water (and Gatoraid) every hour....

Jenny Lake Campground
19 miles away
We love Jenny Lake and want to camp their with our family and friends...4 kids, 4 adults.  I am worried about not having reservations....is that a problem?...Jenny Lake Campground was awesome. The view was amazing. It was quite and secluded, the camp store is just a short walk from the camping sites. The lake is beautiful and quiet, no boats zipping around. We stayed at site #50, other sites that I would recommend are 45,46 and 47. These sites have the best view. The best thing was the FLUSH toilets. If you want a vacation away form all of the touristy things you should definitly stay at Jenny Lake. If you get there in the afternoon grab a site. You can always move the next day. It seemed like a lot of people only stayed 1 night....
