    Tibbals Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Tibbals Reservoir gets very little rainfall; throughout May this area sees the most rain while February is typically the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Tibbals Reservoir. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Tibbals Reservoir temperatures plunge to the-10's.
 
   Near Tibbals Reservoir you discover the Scab Lake Trail which is a nice hiking trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Tibbals Reservoir. Desert Reservoir Number 6 is a great lake in the vicinity of Tibbals Reservoir, and camping is available at Ox-yoke Acres Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Pole Creek for all you thrill seekers,  
               and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn.
The Emigrant Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of Tibbals Reservoir, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Desert Reservoir Number 4. Going for a hike on the Scab Sage Trail is always a great adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Scab Creek Campground is a magnificent location to camp.

scab lake trail is not one for the weak, it is a hard climb with outstanding rewards of beauty & huge high powered brilliantly colored brook trout up to 6 lbs that we know of in scab lake! oh almost forgot the last time I went was July 5 it snowed at scab 18 plus inches, I hope that I remembered to tell that the 11 mile trail to the scab lake is a hard hard climb, I have only made it 3 times to the lake thanks Allen Eagle concrete worker & stock car racer Jackson Hole...
