You could also explore Coon Lake since you're here at Tayo Lake; it's nearby; since you're here you can take a hike along the Ice Lakes Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. If you need a spot to stay Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a pleasant choice, and camping at Dickinson Creek Campground is always a fine experience. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wind River Range. Tayo Lake       is pretty dried out commonly; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is December. At Tayo Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Tayo Lake. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Wind River Range.
