Sylvan Reservoir is great! A nice close by hotel is The Cody, and get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Shoshone River. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. After a long day outdoors Cody Cowboy Village is a great place to spend a night or two; Devils Tooth is trouble-free to spot from Sylvan Reservoir. Sylvan Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range.       You completely have to love the Absaroka Range. Don't leave Sylvan Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Jack Creek Trail, and Sylvan Reservoir is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Yellowstone Valley Inn is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. An interesting thing to stop by next to Sylvan Reservoir is Sylvan Dam; camping at TK's RV Park is always a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Places like                  Pete Miller Park are magnificent to have a look at, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Greybull River. Not much rain falls here at Sylvan Reservoir; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is December. The Timber Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Darrah Number 1 Reservoir. Summertime highs at Sylvan Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Sylvan Reservoir. There's tremendous hiking along the Piney Creek Trail.
