Brooklyn Lake - Medicine Bow National Forest is a great campground nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Laramie River offers some       wonderful whitewater. Not much rainfall falls here at Swedes Cabin Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
