The Teton Range scenery is always beautiful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Snake River, and do check out Cold Mountain Creek since you're here at Swamp Lake. So much exciting stuff to do in the Teton Range, not sufficient time. If you want a little side tour, try Grants Pass; Lizard Creek Campground is a perfect local campground. Swamp Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is June, and October       is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Swamp Lake it's a pleasant idea to stop at Shoshone Geyser Basin, and there's delightful hiking along the Mallard Lake Trail. During the summertime at Swamp Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime                  temperatures at Swamp Lake drop into the 0's. This spot, the Teton Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Swamp Lake is not the only place nearby, Madison Lake is a nearby lake, and Black Boiler Spring is always fun to check out. Any time is a magnificent time at Swamp Lake if you adore the outdoors. Why not camp at Cave Falls Campground if you're here at Swamp Lake, and don't leave Swamp Lake without first going for a hike along the Shoshone Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
