This lake is so wonderful. Red Lodge Mountain is a delightful local ski area. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Reef Creek Campground is a good local campground, and if you're here, you might as well check out Oliver Gulch. Just can't get enough of Swamp Lake. Float       down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak, and hiking along the Reef Creek Trail is good fun. If you want to pop by some interesting stuff, pop by Cathedral Cliffs, and going for a hike along the Lewis and Clark Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Swamp Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. At Swamp Lake during the warm months highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 30's.                  All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Swamp Lake are in the 0's. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back many times. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Sill Lake is a lake nearby, and unsurprisingly Beartooth Creek flows through this area. An average amount of rain falls at Swamp Lake; June is the month that gets the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
