After a long day outdoors Kelly Inn Yellowstone is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and a short trip to Smoke Jumper Hot Springs is always worthwhile. During the summer months, highs typically are in the 70's at Summit Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Summit Lake are in the 0's.       You'll need more than a day to explore everything Summit Lake has to offer, you can camp at Brandin' Iron Motel and RV Park; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Fairy Creek Trail. Summit Lake is ordinarily a relatively waterless location; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is October. Summit Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Cave Falls Campground is a tremendous place to camp                  nearby, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Old Fountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Gray Wolf Inn & Suites is a magnificent location to get some rest, and do take a hike on the Summit Lake Trail.
