Summit Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summit Lake is a location that is relatively arid typically; the wettest month of the year is usually April, that's the one that snows the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the long summer days at Summit Lake highs are regularly in the 60's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and night

| | lows in the 0's for Summit Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Coffeen Park Campground is a glorious campground here, and if you need a place to stay Log Cabin Motel is a nice choice.
Going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a fine adventure; camping at Summit Lake is good fun, Lake Geneva Campground is a good local campground. And that's not everything you can do here in the Bighorn Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Main Paint Rock Trail, | |

and if you come at the right time of year, Tensleep Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains.
So much amusing stuff next to Summit Lake, truly mind-boggling. Go for
a hike on the Mistymoon Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Paintrock Creek, and there are other places here than Summit Lake, for example Lake Solitude.
