Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Black Hills. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn At Sundance, and you can stay the night at Rod and Gun Campground. All the outdoors exciting things in the Black Hills will keep you coming back persistently. There is a nice hiking trail near Straight Lake called the Pettigrew Trail. A magnificent place in the neighborhood of Straight Lake is Pole Cabin Gulch, and       Straight Lake is a pleasant place to camp, Timon Campground is a pleasant place. Summertime at Straight Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Straight Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. The Bear Gulch Trail is a good hiking trail right next door to Straight Lake, and Jones                  Spring is always fun to check out. This lake is one of the great places here in the Black Hills. This place, Straight Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors fun stuff. Near Straight Lake you discover the Iron Creek Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, obviously you could also explore Bear Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Mallo Motel is a great spot to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Spearfish Creek for all you adrenaline people.
