It's always fun to stop by Straight Lake. The Black Hills scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Spearfish Travelodge is a nice location to get some rest, and the Iron Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Black Hills. Don't leave Straight Lake without first paying a visit to Jones Spring, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Rocky Ford Reservoir is just a very short distance

| | away. So many enjoyable things in the Black Hills, just mind-boggling. Rod and Gun Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you've had enough of Straight Lake, Bear Lake is nearby. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Straight Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Spearfish Creek; hiking is a popular thing to do around Straight Lake; Pettigrew Trail is a wonderful local trail. Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Straight Lake. Straight Lake gets very
little precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Pole Cabin Gulch is right next door to Straight Lake and is beyond doubt a tremendous place to stop by, and
if you need a location to stay Best Western Inn At Sundance is a fine choice. If you came for an overnight stay Timon Campground is a magnificent location to camp, and glorious hiking is available along the Bear Gulch Trail.
