Stonehammer Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Wind River Range. Brimstone Mountain can be spotted from Stonehammer Lake; Pole Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. At Stonehammer Lake you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is       February. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Pinedale is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and don't leave Stonehammer Lake without first going for a hike along the Shannon Pass Trail. Good hiking is available along the New Fork Trail; paddling on Green River is so much fun. Yeah, come here to Stonehammer Lake for a great time. Stay the night at Upper Fremont Lake Campground, and Best Western Pinedale Inn                  is a splendid place to get some rest. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Lakes are delightful; Upper Jean Lake is a lake that's next to Stonehammer Lake, and Cube Rock Pass is another great site to explore nearby. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Stonehammer Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Stonehammer Lake.
