So much amusing stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not sufficient time. A great close by hotel is Yodeler Motel, and since you're here at Stockade Lake it's a fine idea to have a look at Sawtooth Meadows. Since you're here at Stockade Lake why not explore Beartooth Pass. The annual rain here at Stockade Lake is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest       month of the year is October. You clearly ought to love Stockade Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and fine hiking is available along the Morrison Trail. You'll find a pretty lake called Daphnia Lake near Stockade Lake, and you can stay the night at Buena Vista Campground. Don't leave Stockade Lake without first going for a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and a wonderful lake like Losekamp Lake is a nice place to go to. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Absaroka Range.
