Any time is a magnificent time at Squirrel Lake if you adore the outdoors. While you're here at Squirrel Lake, you could also stop by scenic Pinto Park Lake; camping at Fiddlers Lake Campground is always a pleasant experience. Life's too short       to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Wind River Range. Squirrel Lake is near Sweetwater Gap which is absolutely worth a visit, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Stough Creek Basin Trail. Throughout the warm months at Squirrel Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Squirrel Lake all through                  the winter usually fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Basco Creek is in the vicinity of Squirrel Lake and is always a diversion to explore, and the Pinto Park Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Around Squirrel Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through May; December is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. You'll stumble on a delightful lake called Poison Lake near Squirrel Lake, and if you came to camp Dickinson Creek Campground is a magnificent place to do that.
