This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Sportsman Lake is a lake close at hand, and if you came for an overnight stay North Fork - Medicine Bow National Forest is a glorious place to camp. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Sportsman Reservoir, and through summer nights       temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Sportsman Reservoir. Go for a hike on the Pole Mountain Trail; going for a hike on the Lincoln Trail is always a glorious adventure. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Sportsman Reservoir has it all. Camping is available at Brooklyn Lake - Medicine Bow National Forest; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have                  a look at nearby Lone Tree Reservoir. Sportsman Dam is not far at all from Sportsman Reservoir; lots of folks from Laramie come here. Sportsman Reservoir is ordinarily a quite dried out place; most of the rain falls during July; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful.
