All through the summer at Sportsman Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. If you came to camp North Fork - Medicine Bow National Forest is a good place to do that, and you don’t have to go far from Sportsman Lake to spot the water at Sportsman       Dam. There are fine places to discover along the Lincoln Trail. There's so much to do here at Sportsman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brooklyn Lake - Medicine Bow National Forest is a perfect place for that. Sportsman Lake is a location that is quite dehydrated frequently; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. A perfect close by hotel is First Gold Inn; going for a hike                  on the Overland Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. People from Laramie love to come to Sportsman Lake; Howard Johnson Inn - Laramie is a great location to get some rest. This place rocks, just check out all the exciting stuff to do near Sportsman Lake.
