Hiking along the Solitude Trail is glorious fun. Lakes are perfect; Bard Lake is a lake that's close to Spear Lake. Having a nice time in the Bighorn Mountains is simple. Camping at Lake Geneva Campground is always a good experience, and the summit of Black Tooth Mountain can be spotted from Spear Lake. Take a hike on the Mistymoon Trail, and why not head up to Antelope Butte and strap some skis to your feet. But wait, there's       more fun stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Peggy Lake, and whitewater paddling is nice on Tensleep Creek. It is very dry here at Spear Lake ordinarily; the month with most of the snow is April; February is when it's the driest. All through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 60's at Spear Lake with night lows in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's                  with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Spear Lake. Having a great time at Spear Lake is trouble-free. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cliff Lake Trail, and if you came to camp Highland Park Campground is a brilliant spot to do that.
