If you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and going for a hike along the Moss Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. That right there is a lot of cool things already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. Lakes? Sure, Little Washakie Lake is close by, and on a beautiful day you get a brilliant       sight of Camels Hump from South Fork Lakes. High temperatures at South Fork Lakes through the summer are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows at South Fork Lakes all through the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 10's. Not far from South Fork Lakes, you'll discover Valentine Lake which is a lovely lake; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for                  a hike along the Bears Ears Trail. Just can't get enough of South Fork Lakes. A visit to Texas Pass is always fun, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Bull Lake Creek. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Wind River Range. Hiking along the Lizard Head Trail is perfect fun; a pleasant close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Not much rainfall falls here at South Fork Lakes; through May this area sees the most rain; December on the other hand is the driest.
