Shelia Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and why not camp at Scab       Creek Campground while you're here at Sonnicant Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. A magnificent spot to camp here at Sonnicant Lake is Big Sandy Campground, and while you're here why not explore Kagevah Pass. One of                  the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Sonnicant Lake is Kagevah Peak, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sonnicant Lake; Middle Fork Trail is a delightful local trail. That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pyramid Lake Trail. At Sonnicant Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sonnicant Lake plunge into the 10's.
