Why not camp at Island Park Campground while you're here at Lake Solitude, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Lily Lake. Lake Solitude gets very little rainfall; April is when you get the most snow here; the driest month is February. And if that's not enough there's loads more amusing stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Camping is available at Lake Geneva Campground; hiking       along the Cliff Lake Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. Elk Mountain is picturesque and can be distinguished from Lake Solitude. Lakes are wonderful; Summit Lake is a lake that's close to Lake Solitude. Summer at Lake Solitude arrives with high temperatures in the 60's with night lows in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Lake Solitude during the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's. You just                  can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area right next door to Lake Solitude has to offer. Paddling on Paintrock Creek is so much fun, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Main Paint Rock Trail. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. Very beautiful scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Big Horn Ski. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
