This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. Why not camp at Longhorn RV & Motel since you're here at Soapstone Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a good site to get some rest. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Camping is available at Circle Up Camper Court Shop; don't leave Soapstone Lake without first going for a hike along the Jakeys       Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. Good hiking is available along the C M Trail, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Wind River. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Wind River Range. Take a little trip to Dyke Creek since you're here at Soapstone Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Whiskey Mountain Trail. Through the summer                  months, highs typically are in the 80's at Soapstone Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Soapstone Lake. Get covered with water paddling on Green River, and you'll discover a scenic lake called Dish Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two; a delightful lake like Boone Lake is a great site to go to.
