Beautiful Soapstone Lake has much to offer visitors. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Drift down the rapids of Wind River in a kayak, and a pretty lake like Marion Lake is a great place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Near Soapstone Lake you hit upon the Jakeys Fork Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail; if you come at the right time of year, Green River offers some glorious whitewater. So many amusing things to do

| | here in the Wind River Range, too delightful to be true. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Soapstone Lake has to offer, you can camp at Longhorn RV & Motel, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Soapstone Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in | |

the 30's with temperatures at Soapstone Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Soapstone Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful.
The Whiskey Mountain Trail is a fine hiking trail
right next door to Soapstone Lake, and Soapstone Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a fine place to camp nearby. Lakes are such calm sites, why not explore Alice Lake right next door
to Soapstone Lake; why not go to nearby Dyke Creek if you're here at Soapstone Lake. It is very dried out here at Soapstone Lake ordinarily; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February.
This is no place
for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a fine site to get some rest, and going for a hike on the C M Trail is always a delightful adventure.
