The beauty of Snowdrift Lake is reason enough to stop by. This spot, the Teton Range, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Hiking along the Open Canyon Trail is wonderful fun, and you can run the rapids of Gros Ventre River. This lake is so wonderful. Snowdrift Lake is right by the Lake Solitude Trail; a day on the slopes of Snow King is just what you need. on Ditch Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Kit Lake is nearby, and since you're here why not stop at Hurricane Pass. Snowdrift Lake is a beautiful lake in the Teton Range.

go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Teton Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Alaska Basin Trail, and after a long day outdoors Snake River Lodge And Spa is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. This
lake is so wonderful.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Teton Range. Dry warm beds await you at Alpenhof Lodge, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Shoshoko
Falls. The top of Buck Mountain is easily spotted from Snowdrift Lake, and there are other places here than Snowdrift Lake, for example Icefloe Lake.

Lake Solitude Trail
 | July 18, 2008 Just got back from a hike to the lake yesterday. Always incredibly beautiful at any time of year (when the trail is open) A lot of flowers blooming earlier than usual because of the copious amount of melt. A bull moose, sow and calf near the trail just past the fork. The last half mile is covered in snow so that can slow you down a little. The lake is still almost completely iced over. Saw two 13'' fish (trout?) in the small, open area of the lake. Marmots snuck around our lunch spot hoping for a hand-out (don't feed anything). One of the most beautiful hikes around. If you think you're a strong hiker but haven't done many hikes or aren't used to the altitude, bring enough water for about a seven hour hike. Stronger hikers can make it in about 5 1/2 hours & seasoned hikers less--but count on a bottle of water (and Gatoraid) every hour.... |

Jenny Lake Campground
 | We love Jenny Lake and want to camp their with our family and friends...4 kids, 4 adults. I am worried about not having reservations....is that a problem?...Jenny Lake Campground was awesome. The view was amazing. It was quite and secluded, the camp store is just a short walk from the camping sites. The lake is beautiful and quiet, no boats zipping around. We stayed at site #50, other sites that I would recommend are 45,46 and 47. These sites have the best view. The best thing was the FLUSH toilets. If you want a vacation away form all of the touristy things you should definitly stay at Jenny Lake. If you get there in the afternoon grab a site. You can always move the next day. It seemed like a lot of people only stayed 1 night.... |
